The Etowah River Cooters are a NGAFL team based in Rome Georgia and part of the Rome Redbacks development league.

The River Cooters guernsey or jersey features the local turtle the SE River Cooter, synonymous with the rivers in the SE of the USA, especially the Etowah River that winds its way from the North East of Georgia through the northern suburbs of Atlanta and arrives in Rome Georgia, where is joins the Oostanaula River, to form the Coosa River.
