The Sydney Swans are one of two Sydney based AFL clubs however they originated in Melbourne as the South Melbourne Swans and were the breakout franchise that started the AFL becoming a national competition. The Swans had been very consistent in the last few years. We are expecting a better year in 2023 with the gun forward Lance "Buddy" Franklin in full flight one more time hopefully.
