The Finger Lakes Football Club will be the newest USAFL team for 2024. Establishing in the upstate area of New York nearby to Buffalo and Syracuse cities, the Blue Herons will commence as a development team and may play more teams over the border into Canada than it will USAFL teams far further to its south.

The number of the back of the first ever club guernseys will be the #11, representing the 11 individual lakes that make up the area know as Finger Lakes New York.
